OK here goes.
Had a problem with the plug wires just coming apart then crappy plugs.
So when I put the new coils go to start it and it would only run on full choke, when I backed off it would back fire.
It was already late and the V&H full exhaust it too loud at 11PM.
Pulled the plugs for like the 5th time and found 1/2 has some carbon 3/4 had the same but were wet. Then it hit me 3/4 were in switched. put everything back together and I was riding.

Now the problem is when I'm riding I find in that in the lower RPM range (1 to 3k) it feels a little rough, but when I give it a little more throttle it revs nice and smooth.

I haven't done anything to the bike and all I know about what it has is the full exhaust.

It's a 92 katana 600

OK got new plugs to put in yesterday, just have to knock off some of the honey-do list before I can work on the bike.

went for a spin yesterday and it felt horrible doing turns from a full stop.
had to use some serious clutch control to get enough power to get through the turn.

I believe the gap is set at .025 where should it be???

I believe your plugs are supposed to be at .035 but you will need to double check that with a phone call to the stealer.

If you've replaced your coils, wires and plugs and you have a rough idle, how are your carbs? Here are a few things that can go wrong.......

- Gummed slides or partially clogged pilot jets can cause that problem.
- A vacume leak could also cause rough idle but would have a slow return to idle after letting off the gas.
- Carbs that are out of synch can cause rough idle
- If you have an ignition advancer in there it may also cause a rough idle too. That's the sacrifice.....rough idle but better mid range.

I haven't had a chance to work on the bike, but it idles fine.
I can rev it all day standing still without a problem.
It's under load that it acts up. It's like as soon as I let off of the clutch I have to gice it more throtttle than I use to. It feels like on a turbo when the boost kicks in, from no power to wohooo hang on.

Wohooo
Changed the plugs and set the correct gap and it revs smooth.

Took it for a test drive to get an new headlight bulb. The PO had on of those crap blue bulbs and I couldn't see at night.
