I have a 2001 Marauder that won't start. I've replaced the battery and fuel pump. If I spray starting fluid in the breather that's directly in front of the battery it fires right up. anyone have a suggestion as to what the issue may be.

Yes l can hear the pump turn on. I used a stethoscope. And I ran a fuel line off the output side and it is pumping fuel.

OK.....to be more specific, is the fuel getting INTO the carb(s) ?
Most carbs have a drain screw and nipple on the bottom of the float bowl.
If you actually have a good amount of fuel in the bowls, then the carbs are likely gunked up internally.
You are using full choke when trying to start......right ?? And no throttle ??

Yes using full choke and no throttle. I checked rear carb for fuel in bowl. There was fuel in it. I'll take carbs off tomorrow and check for clogs. I'll post results if that resolves the issue. Thank you for all the advise.

May be too late but some carb cleaner through and left overnight will probably clear the problem....most likely the idle circuits are blocked.
