Last week I locked my keys in the shed, so the key to the shed lock was locked in the shed with NO spare. I have one of the best Masterlocks you can buy, it was like $22. I thought to myself, how the hell am I going to get in....I didn't want to destroy the latch, so my concentration was on the lock...Suddently a cartoon ballon with a light bulb in it appeared over my head, a plan was brewing...F.Y.I. it took me less than 2 min. to cut through a Masterlock with a DREMEL TOOL!!!! Yes I said a DREMEL TOOL!!!! :(

FYI

Masterlocks are the most easy locks to pick... In fact, most lock-picking instructional sets give that type of lock as the first lock to try picking. I couldn't believe how easily I popped the lock on my damn heavy masterlock (big beefy sucker).

Forget the dremmel that makes too much noise... picks make it easy... To avoid picking... get a combolock.

Picking a combo lock is easier than doing a normal lock. So thats an even worse option.
I'll have to disagree on that. My first time trying, I picked a Masterlock in under 5 seconds. This was after just getting this neat locksmith/lockpicking instructional CD. I watched the first picking method and then tried it. First try under 5 seconds. Really easy. I'd be seriously impressed if you could by ear or by feel, pick a combination lock that fast on a first try, let alone an experienced hand. :)

My brother works in the Federal Pen. He says once you're convicted you get free scholling to better prepare you to face the cruel world. Some of the classes that are available:

1) Lockpicking
2) Karate / Self Defense
3) Weightlifting/Body Building
4) Gun Smithing
5) Target Practice
6) Cover and Concealment
7) Evasive Driving

Okay, so I made all that stuff up. My brother really does work in the pen though!! I run up on people from high school all of the time, and they ask, "How's Paul?" (Paul's my brother, and he was the Company Commander of ROTC in high school . . . all the nerds quivered in his presence  ). I'll say (forgetting that they don;t know he WORKS there) "He's still over at the Federal Pen at the end of Sycamore View Road." Their face ==>

That's usually when I remember to say, "He works there." :)

So other than bikes, the most popular passtimes here seem to be guns and lockpicking ?.

Hmmm!
I bought the lockpicking CD program from this software site. Nothingbutsoftware.com. When I was purchasing a game, it offered this program for $5 additional, so I thought "why not" and got it. It came with a set of picks as well as instructions and templates that you can print out, to make your own picks out of spring steel. On the CD were a bunch of AVI files that go through many types of locks and many methods for picking. I've actually had to use my picks and skills a few times at work when people locked themselves out of file cabinets etc. Gotta love the bosses face when he finds out you can pick locks, especially when you're picking his file cabinet for him. ;)

I wouldn't call it a hobby, but it sure is simple to do with the right tools.

It all falls together nicely, 'cause there is a master plan

Bikers are very independent, tend not to have much respect for authority...they love beer, lockpicking, and weaponry!!

I MUST HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE THEN!

I prefer to combine all three by getting drunk and shooting the lock open. But that's me.

You're not alone soad. Just got my copy of MotoGP2 from Amazon (finally). OMG!!!! Freakin unbelievable, running at 60FPS (frames per second), doing 180 down the straight in Mugello, tearing up Brno, and destroying Rossi in Jerez. Best. Game. Ever. That is until Halo2 comes out.

bah... doom3 multiplayer is nowhere near as fun as games like Return to Castle Wolfenstein or Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. I'm hoping HL2 and their multiplayer mod Counterstrike, will look good. Doom3 was fun to beat, but multiplayer deathmatch isn't as fun as cooperative play.... Then again, I play competitively for a clan/team..... Wait... wasn't this supposed to be a suzuki motorcycle forum?
