Just for your information as I know I was looking for this a while ago. As we all know mileage depends on many factors so I try to give you an idea on mine...

I don't do burnouts or very aggressive riding, all of the wear was done on weekend rides of 500km over mainly twisty roads avoiding highway as much as possible. Tire pressure (very important for live with Metzeler) was checked and adjusted monthly and was never more then 2psi off. Running 42on the back and 38 on the front. Most riding was done solo with minimal luggage. That's all I can think off...

Under the above circumstances the back lasted 11400Km with the front still having a bit of live in them. Hope this info comes handy to somone.

Yes the ME880s are good tires that give you lots of miles. I hear the ME888 is even better. About 40k miles back I started using theMichelin Commander II and they give me about 1000 additional miles along with good handing. Same adherence to maintenance as BIGJ with 39 or 40 in each tire.

I've always liked the Metz 880s handling very much but got better mileage from the Dunlop EIII's and I'm a guy who has gone through a lot of tires without doing burnouts.
At least 35 rear tires on my current ride alone,I switched to the Metz 888's after a couple sets of EIII's this go round and I'm loving them, lasting like the EIII's but handle like the 880's.
