Missing hose? Yamaha V-Star 1100 carburetor clean up and re-install

Puzzled here... Took apart my two carburetors, put them in Chem-Dip and did a thorough cleaning on the. Reinstalled them and as soon as I open the petcock, get a gasoline leak. I feel pretty sure I re-installed all the hoses. But there is a naked brass nipple at the bottom of one of the carbs that is without a hose and spewing gas... [See attached] Is there supposed to be a plug for that and maybe I popped if off by accident. Or is it supposed to be connected to a hose? If so, where does the hose go? Anybody familiar with this?

Thanks.

I too had the same thot, especially after i spent $600 on full tune up just 3 days before the leak started...It is your over flow valve that is leaking and since you gave your carbs a bath in solvent i'm assuming , a piece of debris has probably found its way into the seat and allowing to much fuel to pour in, that was my problem thankfully, however new needles and seats aren't very expensive and since you have no problem taking those carbs off do it again break-um down to the bowl and replace the neccesary parts. hope this helps, good luck!
p.s. i got so tired of dealing with carb tuning problems that i went out and got me an injected BEAST V-MAX!!! much less worries

Hi, I had the same leak, can you advise me please what to do with it So that overflow valve should be left alone without any hose or plug over it? Thank you
