Hi everybody. How does stretching a bike enhance 1/4 mile racing? It seems to me that if you stretch the bike you'd change the center of grav to the rear and that would tend to make the front harder to keep down. Am I right? What gives?

Stretching a bike does move the CG rearward, but only relative to the front, and only slightly since it's the swingarm that's lengthened. It also moves it forward relative to the rear, which is the more significant change. The weight of the engine stays forward, so torque due to gravity is largely retained.
