I have basically convinced myself to purchase these pipes, with the heat shields and power cones, for my 06 M50. I really like the look. Mind you its going to be around $800USD when it hits the Canada border, then add 13% government gouge ...

Does anyone else have these? What are your opinions? What is the sound like?

heres the link mortons violators

Thanx

I helped a friend put a set on his C50, which is a nearly identical motor to your M50. They looked good, but sounded like crap. REALLY, really loud, the loudest exhaust I have heard on a C50. And not a deep, rich sound either, but an offensive, higher pitched, ear shattering, 'small motor with a megaphone attached' sound. They are also single walled, so quality wise I was unimpressed.

He liked them for about a week because they were so loud everyone stared, but the novelty soon wore off and he tried to put some aftermarket baffles and muffler packing in them, then gave up and swapped to something else. Total waste of money if you ask me, but if your goal is to have a bike so offensively loud no one will ride behind you and you get lots and lots of attention and a few bleeding ears, then you will probably like them.

I don't have the violators, but mine are similar. To be honest I love the way mine sound 4 years and counting.
They are loud, but they are no where near as loud as most of the bikes at bike night, and mine sound 100x better...In a crowd of bikes I can not even hear mine run.
You can see videos in my signature.

Thanx for the feedback!!

I got a deal on a FI2000 so I have that already.. I am looking for something louder but with that bassy rumble still and I like the slash look. I think I may have to rethink my selection :-?

My Doctor says that the high frequencies are the first to go when your hearing fails.

(Sorry, couldn't resist.)
Your Doctor is correct, above 2K I can't hear much at all, I can't even hear the birds without my assist, that is due to loud motorcycles in my younger years plus gunfire. I thought my cat could not make a sound until I got my bionic ears compliments of the VA.
