I'm thinking of buying a 1999 MS 1600 Yamaha Road star. Problem; I need to purchase a starter for it but can't find the "MS" designation anywhere. Please help. Thanks 😎

My question would be why buy a bike that needs a part you cannot seem to source I would check with Yamaha to see if the 'MS' dsignation makes any difference before buying it.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Exactly where did you see the model specified WITH the "MS" in it ?
My guess is that it refers to something cosmetic.

EDIT: A quick Google search indicates that MS probably stands for "Midnight/Silverado" and indeed is just a "trim" model.

THEN.....if the starter is really bad, how do you know that it will run ?????
