I am looking into the 2004 600 katana, and it lists at $6299..
And i was wondering how much do you think a dealer will go down off the MSRP...or what would be acceptible price for that bike????

This late in the model year I'd offer at least $500 below list. On the other hand, it is getting close to Spring. Depends on the inventory and disposition of the dealer. Any details?

a dealer offered me a 2002 Katana 600 that hadn't been sold, so its still new with a waranty for $5500. They said that's the lowest they can go.

i've noticed that bike dealers don't go too much lower on what they have them priced at. I was barely able to get 800 off of a leftover 2003 bike and I would have had to buy it right then and there. I worked my ass off but they never budge. Maybe they are all just stubborn or really don't make that much off of bikes... dunno

At this time of year, I'd see my dealer going about $300 or $400 below that tops. Give it a few months and you might not get him to budge off sticker because of the riding season.

Bottom line is that I don't think they move much because they don't have to.
