whatz up, i've really been thinking of getting a bike for the first time. i am 6ft about 200lbs...i was researching the suzuki gsx r750 as being my first bike...i am 30 years old and have calm down from the race syndrome. would this bike be a good choice for me?

thankx for your input...i have taken the driving course and was pretty comfortable on the bike...but please tell me more... :roll: then what is the best beginner bike do you suggest?

Don't sweat it.... as long as you've taken a MSF course, you should be fine. Also helps to have a safe experienced rider kinda take you under their wing to help you practice technique and decision making. But remember even the most level headed sportbike rider get the itch to crack the throttle every now and again. Get more experience before you scratch that itch.

Whatever your size, whatever you age a Gixxer (of any size) is NOT a good choice for a first bike. Period.

Too much power, too much torque linked to that hair-trigger throttle.
