Well, here it is before and after. Installed the Suzuki sissybar. Took my son for a ride after installing ... he liked it :D , I like it too. You can't go wrong with genuine accessories. I ordered the bar rack too; should be here next week. I only wish the bar and the rack were blacked out. Can't have it all I guess.

That looks nice! I like it. I'm a bit of a chrome fan so I think it looks great as is...of course, all black might look pretty sexy too.

Thanks! My next mod will be to install my digital gear indicator. Originally, it was intended for my last bike but didn't get around to installing it. Maybe tomorrow. It's really just a luxury item, but what the heck.

I like that backrest a lot. One day I'll get around to installing one on my Marauder. The price tag is the only thing holding me back right now.

I have run into some people who don't like sissy bars or backrests but I really like that look and it looks great on your bike.

Since hubby got me my bike, he has put on a sissy bar and backrest, crash bars, saddlebag guards and the Willie & Max Raptor series saddlebags, the Kury. ISO grips, and the throttle boss so far. I should mention that not only did he surprise me with the bike itself, he surprised me with about half these additions also. The grips and throttle boss, he snuck up to my work and put them on...at the end of my work day, came outside to go home and BAM...I loved them. Oh yeah, I love him too. :D

He says he's not done dressing it up but he did put on two turtle decals, one on each side of the neck. I have a tattoo of a Hawaiian turtle (we call them Honu) and he found two Honu decals wearing flower leis that look like they're blowing in the wind. I will post pics of them later. :)

Aloha!

I for one don't really like them, but this one (being Suzuki's own) did settle my displeasure a bit. I actually had the rear seat off the bike and contemplated leaving it off since the single seat and thus seamingly elongated rear fender looked really cool. Might do that for a while and only have the sissybar on when my wife or son go piggyback. I wonder if I could create some sort of quick-release system for both the sissybar and rear seat ... HMMmmmmmm!

I put the Suzuki sissy bar on my blue m50....I love it also. I paid about $325 for mine....seems like I got ripped off. They gave me a 20% discount.... I think I am in the wrong business. I should be fleecing the public with selling motorcycle parts.

Well, I'm not one to argue the cost, but more the quality. The Suzuki bar and bracket are very high quality consisting of thick, sturdy metals and quality chrome plating that won't flake. Also, consider styling ... I like the way Suzuki's own is designed to flow with the lines of the bike. I'd much rather pay more for the quality. I spent $199 for the back rest and $179 for the brackets and couldn't be happier. Plus, I give my money to the dealer that treats me right and where I also get the bike serviced. It all comes back around eventually. :)
