ok, i know everyone is tired of hearing about me waiting and wanting the M50...but here is my official "I FINALLY OWN ONE" thread.

Ive changed my "bike" info so that makes it official right?

Story: wasnt getting a good price local in tampa, made some calls saturday morning and a guy about an hour north hooked me up with MSRP out the door. went to pick it up saturday evening.

while inspecting (drooling on it) i noticed a scratch on the top corner of the gas tank and told the sales manager. he went outside with a not so happy look. they decided it was damaged in shipping, took a pic, and are going to get a whole new tank from suzuki. i got them to throw in a set of Kuryakan grips for free and install them, which they will do when i go back up to get the tank when it comes in. Will probably be doing the 600 mile at that time too.

It been raining all night and i supposed to rain all day today, so i havent ridden it more than 2 blocks or over 30 mph yet.

Here is the first pic for you guys to see. I'll post more when the weather clears.

notice how the old bike is just out in the rain? the cover is an old car cover and is probably big enough to cover both too! haha....took the pic through the screen for added effect. im so unhappy about not being able to ride it. i know how you guys up north who are getting bikes and cant ride yet due to weather.

Either that or focus on the bike rather than the screen. ;-)

Good job Doug!!! Hell an hours drive to get the bike is nothing if your saving money that you're going to be putting to mods.

Now how to get the motor broken in fully between now and March 5th??? 600miles in 5 day means you've got to log just over 120miles everyday. And the weather should make that easy. Here's the 10 day forcast for Hillsborough County

Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 70s. West winds around 15 mph and gusty.
Monday Night
Partly cloudy. Cooler. Lows in the mid 50s near the coast...and around 50 inland. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
Tuesday
Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

went for a ride after it stopped raining today. wound up all over town and put 50 miles on it. man what a difference from my old POS i have been riding!! more power and throttle response, very low center of gravity, comfortable seat and leg position...man i am SOOO in love with it! i just want to go right now and ride all night! i am actually looking forward to going to work on it tomorrow!

i was taking the turns sooooo slow today with wet roads, and a new bike. that is the most upright i have taken turns since i started riding. on the way home i was getting comfortable and the roads were drying out...so i get back to giving it a little lean. it is just bad! and it sounds awesome....kind of a low, deep sound but a little muffled...not loud. sounds great when you downshift to slow for traffic and then give it throttle when you are getting back up to speed. also sounds good under an overpass (most bikes do though!)

had some serious cleaning to do when i got home...mud everywhere. but i enjoyed that too.
