 Ok, so I HAD to try it. Today was such perfect weather.. Unconvered the bike.. checked everything over.. checked the gas.. unlocked the cowel.. turned her on to warm up.... put my jacket on.. then helmet.. then gloves... walked out of the house towards "Mona" (short for Demona, that's her name :p )

By the time I got to my bike, my head felt like it was going to EXPLODE from helmet pressure! My throat started hurting again, and while I KNOW it was not possible, I felt like my throat latch was making it worse.. My nose had got all stuffy again from the head pressure, and there was NO WAY I was going to be able to close my visor without feeling like I was suffocating..

I yanked the damned helmet off. Petted Mona and told her I was sorry, and pouted all the way back in to take off my gear.. By the time I got back in the house, I was dizzy. :? Imagine if I had managed to get on the bike! What was I thinking? I take that back.. I wasn't thinking at all. Cold must have gone to my brain.

I HATE being sick, and we FINALLY have no rain!! :eek:crap:

But you made the right decision! :bluethum: To many people push there luck when not feeling well. Reaction times are down, can't focus, etc. Besides sneezing and coughing in a full face helmet is gross! Good move Red!

That sucks! There's nothing worse than having the perfect opportunity to ride and then not being able to because of a stupid cold! UGH!

I'm glad you decided not to push it though!

About as dangerous as drinking and riding. Never, EVER, ride if you're not feeling well. Physically and mentally.
 I know.. I know.. and I DO know better. I thought the worst of my cold was over.. until I put the damned helmet on. :?

Well, red7eb

Don't know whether to tell you:

"Wonderful Self-Discipline  !"
or
"You were literally sick for trying to ride sick :madd: !"

In any event the right outcome was decided by the higher powers of the universe. Although I'm a "Newbie," I wouldn't dare mount my Gixxer if I couldn't get my focus "PURE :D !"

Hope u get well before the weather breaks!

NO DOUBT!! That's just it.. had a throat itch and a cough that was being controlled by Halls, so I was like "ok, just a short ride won't hurt"... That is, until I pulled on my helmet :? In just that short walk, it was like ALL my symptoms came flooding back.

Believe you me.. NEVER again. I deserve a good kick in the "A" for this one..
