I am suffering from bike envy. My bro has had a Honda Shadow Sabre for a couple of years now after graduating from a Suzuki GS550. I am seriously looking at getting a new bike but am wondering if it is wise to start off with a 750 class. I'm kinda big, 6'3" and 200+lbs. I like the Yamaha V Star 650 Classic, and the Suzuki Volusia Intruder 800. My concerns are:

Reliability
Horsepower at highway speeds
2-up comfort

What adavantages does the Volusia have?

Every advantage over the V-Star. Better than the Honda or Kawasaki.

800 Volusia

Anad, I bought a new V-800 last summer and I love it. Lots of torque and no vibration. I ride the mountains alot, and it pulls the hills just fine. For two up riding, not so good. The rear seat sucks, and the foot pegs for the rear passenger are in a a terrible spot. I lowered mine and moved them forward. The rear seat is to narrow and way to hard.
