Hello all! I just got a C90 gray and black and I love it. I am just a little disappointed in the exhaust so I think that will be my first customization. Anyone prefer one over the other between Vance & Hines Long Shots and Cobra Lo-boy Shotguns? The Cobra's cost a little more and sound like they may have better heat shielding. The V&H are a little cheaper but have removable baffles.

Also, I like the look of these bikes with the passenger seat removed. Is this something that you can do with the stock seat or will I have to purchase a solo seat?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can take that seat right off. I love the look of it gone. I took it off my Volusia about two months in, and have never put it back on. You will have the grommet exposed where the rear bolt goes, but it doesn't look too bad. I also put on a small rack with a leather fneder bib. I have a ton of pics on another site, but I don't know if that cool for me to post the site here. It a Volusia Riders site, but there are some C90's and M50's,in additon to many HD's and others, that post there. I have an 04 Volusia, which from appearences is almost identical I have one picture attached below. That is with my stock exhaust. I have the Vance and Hines Straights on mine, and I think they are GREAT. I've never heard the Cobras. I wish I could have done th Longshots, I like that look better, but they don't make them for my bike.

I have Cobra slash outs on mine and they sound great. Mine also have removable baffles. I tried them once without, that is just crazy loud. Cobra has sound bites of diffirent bikes with their pipes on them. I'm not sure but they probably have your. Here is a pic of mine. Like I said these are their Cobra "2 Slash Out Drag Pipes.

One thing I like about the seats on the Vol/C's - takes just a minute to remove/replace the seat. I've got about as many miles with it off as on, but lately I've been leaving it on.

hmmmmm

That looks like that one I have. Mine is made by "Showchrome". You can get it through a ton of places. Oneida Suzuki has them. I didn't have to drill a hole for mine, but maybe there is something different about the fender on a c90. I would try to call the vendor. Good luck, and keep us posted. I would hate to recomend my rack again and have someone have to drill to install it!

By the way, thanks for the compliment of the ride!

Aw man,,,, I wish you had posted earlier,,, if you were going to remove that rear seat and rear backrest,,, I was looking for the rear swivel backrest that is on the C90's,,, well the C90T has it,, I just ordered the rear C90T swivel backrest. It is on backorder,, but hopefully it will come in someday.

If you have that studded rear swivel backrest and want to get rid of it let me know.

Congrats on the new bike!!!!!! You'll enjoy the "LazyBoy" as I am enjoying mine.
