I recently picked up a new KBC VR-1 helmet, and man did I score a great deal. The helmet was new in the box, brand spankin new. My local dealer is selling this exact helmet for $249, I've seen helmet for sale on the web for $206, I scored the lid for $120 from the eBay link below. Because this was such a great deal, I purchased a blue mirror visor for $25. I just wanted to post this, because this is a good quality helmet that won't break the bank. I bought a pair of the KBC VR-1's last April, same color and design. Paid $125 each. Been a great helmut. Fits great, doesn't have any tendency to lift at speed.

Curious though about noise, any helmuts quieter than others?

I have one of these and I am happy with it. Although I recently red na article describing Scorpion helmets, /wich I personaly saw at a recent motorcycle show at Long Beach/ the helmet is as good as many other $400 brand name helmets says the article. So I'm planning on bying one of these for a replasement on the VR-1.

I bought mine at Helmet Harbor. Their prices seem to have gone up a little, though since before Christmas.
