[C50 Limited]

Hi everyone...I am the new kid to this group (if you can call 57 a kid :smile: ). I am back into bikes after a 25+ year layoff. I had a Yamaha 360 back in the late 70's and early 80's then got out of it. Just brought home my new C50 Limited and am really excited...she's a beaut. I will post a picture when I figure out how to do it. I have been lurking around here for a month or so now and have already picked up lots of useful info. This forum is great! TAking the MSF on June 3-5, will then get my endorcement and really start riding. For now I am just riding around the neighborhood. Look forward to talking with you all.

Well, I am going to try to attach a picture of my new baby. If it is too large or I do something else that is against the rules, please let me know. It may be a little on the pixelated side since I am not very good at working with picture attachments.

I don't think that's a swivel backrest. Just a straight up. The swivel comes on the C50T. I like it them, too. I want one myself.

Nice bike, I love my C50 so far. I love that shadow flame look.

No, it is not a swivel backrest, just a plain backrest with a small luggage rack behind that. Those are the only accessories on my bike right now. Everything else is stock.

In the words of Charlton Heston, "damn you all, damn you all to hell". That's it I'm going to look into financing a new bike. I tried to take everyones sensible advice and start back on something cheap and small, but you guys had to keep pushing me and pushing me. Boy this is gonna really tick my g/f off.

Took one last look in CycleTrader this afternoon, I figured this would be the last day I looked since I work all weekend and come Monday come hell or high water I was gonna go out and get some financing for a new C50, (as earlier stated in this thread). Well lo and behold there was something in there that wasn't 20yrs old and still in my price range. Got put on call tonite at work so I decided to give the guy a call and go take a look, well he's gonna deliver in the AM tommorrow, (not having ridden in 11yrs didn't want my first ride to be on the Interstate at dusk).

It's not a Suzuki though....psssst..........over here..........it's a yamaha.

2002 Yamaha V-Star 650.

Felt pretty fat for a 650, and that's sayin something w/ my fat ***.

I'm gonna be stickin around this forum though, since there is obviously a Yamaha section, and it looks like I may be first to post something in the cruiser portion of that section. Not to mention that it's a pretty cool place to just spend a little time.
