My name's Fiveinch. I have just (happily) purchased a 2004 GSX-R600. I can hardly wait to get it over 7500rpm!
Already have my list:Janis said:Same here!(what colors is yours?)
It seems this little beast has become a top selling bike!
Are you going to put on some afertmarket stuff?
ciao, Janis
Do you mean a hugger?FIVEINCH said:Rear fender to match the front
Read fender?FIVEINCH said:Rear fender to match the front
I thought since I was removing the tail-stack, I would/should replace it with some sort of shielding from 'road-stuff'.Janis said:Read fender?
Why adding a rear fender to a bike that doesn't have it?
That truss-road on the back is just fantastic...

DaMaNP750 said:isnt that stack annoying? It's so ugly. You dont need anything back there after you take it off. It looks so much cleaner without that dangling from there.
FIVEINCH said:Janis: There is a plastic 'stack' that bolts to my bike to provide a fender for rear deflection of objects leaving the rear tire, holds the license plate, and all rear lighting. It can be remove and streamlined with after-marke parts.
The place I was referring to can be considerend part of the frame...forget about it, it's obviously not the one you're talking about! The piece you are referring to-- does it have grooves, or lines in it? Right in front of the rear tire?
You're right, it's not really for deflecting anything. They just call it a fender, hence "fender eliminator kits" that make everything nice and flush/integrated for the tail.Janis said:it wait...are you talking about that piece of plastic crap (oopps) that is supposed to hold the plate?
If so I wanted it removed before I went to pick up the bike from the bike-shop!
If you're talking about that, it's NOT a rear fender and it's not for rear deflection of object leaving the rear tire...at least I never thought it was.
It it's that you need no replacing...guaranteed.
OK got it! Thank you sis!red7eb said:You're right, it's not really for deflecting anything. They just call it a fender, hence "fender eliminator kits" that make everything nice and flush/integrated for the tail.![]()
