Could anyone gimme the approximate operating temperature of a bike. Or even better, my 97 gixxer 600.
Just wonderin whats the best way to decipher when its warmed up enough or for optimal runs?

also, heres a newby retarded question. Buzzin round town wut should i be shifting at? 6-7 or like higher like 9-10 which will grab lots, my bike red lines at 13500

After about 180 she should be good and warmed up.


Shift wherever you are comfortable. Around town I let the rpm's get a little higher so that I have performance on demand. At highway speeds you can let those rpm's drop to 6 or so to save gas a bit.
