***Ok, first let me warn those who are of the Anti-stunting view point, you may not have much interest in this.***
Me and one of my stunting buddies went out to out favorite closed road (an old closed down church parking lot with a big straight drive way) yesterday. He stunts on an '03 sv650. Well, we are practicing stoppies and he wants to try and ride one instead of sitting it down. :? He revs her up and walks it past me then approaches the straight drive for the rolling stoppie. He pulls off the stoppie but looses his balance and drops his bike. Not hard. He couldn't have set the bike down softer if he was doing it on purpose! Yet, now he will need a new shifter and new clutch handles.
Tomorrow when we get off work, we will be making our on crash cages with his welder. We always video tape so we can see what we were doing looks like. Made for a good blooper to add to our reel.
My suggestion is that if you are gonna invest in frame sliders, go on and spend the extra $100-$200 for the cages.
