Today, I have learn what takes that sticky stuff off that is left on your bike when you pull a sticker.

I don't like stickers on anything, I like simple slick look all the time. I have bought my first bike and I wanted to get those stickers off my bike. After I pulled them, of course, the sticky stuff was left on the body and make my gas tank look crappy.

But today, luckly, my friend told me that few drop of gas from the gas tank and a firm rub would make it disappear; most certainly it did.

I was worried about the gas taking off the paint, but it was a false alarm, my paint looks great, nothing happened.

But just to neutrulize it, i have rubbed some soap and cleaned it with water..

I hope this experience of mine would help my fellow riders.

You also can use Bug/Tar Remover. It takes alittle bit of work to get it totally clean but completely paint safe friendly!!!!! I took off the damn stickers on the tank and on the frame... left the decals but the bug/tar remover helped removed the sticky applicant used for the sticker!

Happy Riding!

Peanut butter works great to get the sticky stuff off. It's bit messy to use, but once you get it all cleaned up you will have no sticky stuff left behind. A quick wash and you're all done. Something about the oils in the peanut butter that makes this work.

PS stick with creamy and not chunky

Aanyone ever heard of sticker-remover? Spray on, let it stay on a little while (5 minutes or so) and rub-off. Works like a charm.

Nowadays it's pretty environmentally safe, and mainly consisting of lemon-juice (=citric-acid ?)

i peeled my stickers off yesterday...the fairing stickers came off fine...used alittle peanut butter to get off the small amount of sticky left. Took of the gas tank sticker....OMG..GOD MUST HATE ME. Took me 20minutes with finger nails and goof off...to get the damn thing off. ARRGGG. I mean its bad enough i look like a noob driver with no license plate left, but to have dirty sticker marks lol. I cant have it.

stickers

Goof-off, WD-40, lighter fluid, gas, pretty much anything short of water will take that stuff off. Also might wanna try bumper sticker remover available at pep-boys and autozone works good for bugs and road tar too.

Also try a product called Citrus Blaster. Awesome sticker remover and a great engine degreaser too... Won't affect plastic fairings or paint at all.

whats wrong with the stickers? i plan on adding stickers to my bike!
Well, what's wrong is when Suzuki chooses to spot weld a warning sticker to your gas tank with the most impermiable, durable, sticky crap known to man. And to top it off, the vinyl the sticker is made out of is thinner than gold leaf. So, I am there, picking little piece after little piece off of my gas tank like a bloody moron. "Hey Suzuki, ease up on the damn warning sticker glue"!!! We will read them, sure. But we'd like to remove them after we've absorbed the obvious, common sense ideals that they contain.
I blame it all on the [email protected]#$in' lawyers

A week later, and I've still got 30% of that damn sticker stuck on the tank to get rid of. And......I have used the lighter fluid to get me this far, believe it or not. Without it, I'd be completely insane by now.

Nomad, I was curious how your bike looks without any stickers. Got any pictures for us of it?

I am on the fence of either removing mine or adding to it. It just doesn't look right to me the way it is. Looks Hot but it just needs something more... or less
