how offen do you change the oil in these things, ive heard different milages.
and bought a k,n filter for it good idea?? what else can anyone recomend.. right off the bat... and cheap!

Many people tend to change their bike's oil more often than their car. Bikes do tend to be a bit harder on the oil. I personally change mine every 2,000-2,500 miles. The manufacturer probably specs something higher. Just as important, if you don't put many miles on the bike, change the oil at least every 6 months or so.

Most will say that if you use good quality oil, 3000 miles is a minimum life. Over at Maximum-Suzuki, some guys have done many oil tests at various lifespans. Rarely, if ever, does an oil start to show significant breakdown before 3-5000 miles.

As for the K&N, be aware that you're going to lean the mixture with the increased airflow. You might need to rejet or adjust the needles to accomodate.
