Because I'm all jazzed up about my new bike, I've been frantically searching for frame sliders on the internet today...

I've seen a wide range of prices, from $40 for the set, to $80 for one! :shock:

What kind of frame sliders do you have? How much should I spend on them? :?

Make sure they can be replaced (the puck) without having to take the whole piece off. It will be cheaper in the long run.

Hey...I checked out both those brands on that site and the Vortek ones are good up to the '03 and the Protek up to '02...does it really vary that much by year or would the '03 Vortek most likely work on the '04? :?:

I got some really nice carbon fiber ones off of ebay for $55. I like 'em a lot. They were around $80 through all the other places I looked.

The LP carbon fiber inlay sliders w/ aluminum billits that I want cost about $110-$130 retail. But on eBay I've found them for $70-$80. Now, not saying that you should buy those, they're just a preference for me, since Suzuki has those carbon fiber "look" to the ram air tubes (? - not sure if that's the right name or not ). I'm just pointing out that once you find what you're looking for, be sure to check on ebay for a reduction in cost.



NOTE: I usually make sure I'm still saving money even after I add in shipping, and I always check the seller's feedback.

If you want plain white or black ones, they will run you $45-$70 depending on where you get them. If you want the stylish ones, like the carbon fiber, you can expect to pay a little more, although ebay does seem to have good prices on those, as mentioned above.

I do believe the '03/04s are the same. Contact the manufacturer's from their website(s) just to make sure. Normally catalogs and internet sites are a year off.

GO ON EBAY! I got my frame sliders made of teflon from Team Yoshimura for 25 dollars. I got the swingarm sliders for 15 bucks too.
