I am approaching the end of my warranty for my '19 Classic, I am looking into getting the V&H Short Shots, I have always been of the opinion that if you upgrade the exhaust you should upgrade the intake as well. I am not a fan of any of the aftermarket or screaming eagle intake systems I have found, I would prefer to stick with the stock intake and go with a high-performance air filter like a K&N. How bad will my performance suffer doing this?

Thanks for the info. I never knew about this. I just bought a new Harley Davidson, however, for now I have decided not to modify the exhaust. I modified the exhaust on my Suzuki M 50. My ears have had somewhat of a break riding the new bike, and, I think I like it better with the quieter pipes. The ride is much more pleasant.

Your 50 can be "fixed".
A slightly used set of stock pipes should be fairly easy to find.
