Hi all,
I'm new here, so please be gentle if I'm asking a question that's already been asked somewhere. I bought a 2010 Vstar 950 last year with only 11,000 miles on it. Got a good deal, and love the bike. It's in near new condition.
Recently I noticed my left front position light wasn't working. The right one was ok, and all turn signals were OK
I bought a new bulb and replaced it, but now neither of the position lights are working. ?? Why would replacing the left hand bulb cause the right hand one to go out?
I thought maybe I got a bad bulb so I took them both out, but they look fine. Both the 5w and the 21w filaments in both bulbs are intact.
Thought maybe it was a fuse, but the turn signals are working so I don't think that could be the problem.
Does anyone have any ideas?
This is puzzling... maybe a wire loose somewhere?

You can't always tell if bulbs or fuses are good just by LOOKING at them.
The marker lights might well be on a different fuse, which you might have blown when taking the old bulb out.
Find a meter and test the bulbs and the fuse.
