Post up your bargin basement not top of the line gear in this thread. And let's see who has the cheapest and unsafe gear on this board.

  • HJC AC-11 helmet - $199
  • Shift Super Street jacket - $150
  • Icon Anthem Jeans $100
  • Joe Rocket Razor gloves - $30
  • Aplinestar S-MX plus boots - $200
Total gear cost $679!!

lol well I got a Vega Altura Helmet brand new off e-bay for $63.00, A MotoGP Suzuki Racing Jacket also off of e-bay for $139.95, no riding pants mainly jeans or kakis lol, and a pair of Magnum Swat boots for $80.00 at my local Gun shop.

Total Gear Cost $282.95

What does this say? I need to spend a little more on better gear for the beast I ride yah think? lol

$195 - Scorpion Helmet
$250 - Joe Rocket Alter Ego Jacket
$100 - Joe Rocket GPX Gloves
$125 - Red Wing steel toe boots (have to wear them at work anyway and I've found them to be comfortable on the bike)
Total: $670

Next up: good pair of Joe Rocket riding pants and I'll probably be seeking out a cool vest for the summer.

Funny this came up I had my receipt for most of my gear right here on my desk even though its from six months ago, hrm...


$ 79.00 - New HJC CL-14 'Switch' Helmet (Oneida Suzuki woot!)
$152.95 - FieldSheer Zero Condition Jacket
$125.95 - FieldSheer Highland Pants
$ 71.99 - Olympic Ultima glove/gauntlets
$135.00 - Redwing Steel toe boots

$564.89 plus tax for most.

Lessee if I can remember this...

HJC Symax - $180 (bit of dealing with the dealer over this one)
Teknic Supervent Mesh Jacket - $70
Leather chaps - $50
(over old pair of BDU pants - no cost)
fingerless leather gloves - $15
Magnum Phantom Mil-Spec boots - $90

Total = $405

AGV GP-PRO helmet- £350 ($700 ish i think)
Spyke race jacket - £175
Hein geriche leather trousers - £180
sidi vertebrae boots - £150
frank thomas gloves - £60
neck warmer for winter £12 but vital!!
total = £927 approx $2,000 (correct me if im wrong) - cost of saving ur life.... priceless

I won't get to break any records for cheapness w/ my gear!
Some of it I don't remember the exact price, so I'm rounding...

Shoei Syncrotec Helmet - $450.00
Shoei Strada TC3 Helmet - $400.00
Vanson Cobra Leather Jacket - $600.00
Alpinstars V-rebel textile jacket - $150.00
Sidi waterproof riding boots - $300.00
Total = $1900

...and I still need riding pants that I like!!!! :roll:

dont know the brand of my gloves. They are leather motorcycle gloves with padding for your hands. $25

Everything is more expensive over there. I work right on the main tourist strip from the Orlando attractions to the nearest mall and all and anglish come in raving about towels, bedding and kitchen gagets. For some reason regular bathroom towels are very expensive over there and don't nearly come in the same color selections we have over here??? Same thing with bedding and comforter sets too??? Strange eh!!
