Hi I'm Bryan I have a 1988 Suzuki intruder vs750 it has a good battery and all fuses are good but when I turn the ignition switch on the instrument cluster doesn't light up and the head light dosent come on

But when I add power to the solenoid power wire everything lights up and i can start it but as soon as I take the power from the solenoid it dies

Any solutions

You need a wiring diagram and meter to trace the wires that go to the solenoid. Typically the solenoid should only energise when the start button is depressed so it sounds like either someone has been fiddling with the wring harness or you have an open circuit in the starting system.

You may also have a faulty ignition switch....which after all is only a key operated electrical switch....sometimes jiggling the key or the ignition switch may cause the circuit to energise.
