I'd say the rider's lack of panic-reaction just shows they are aware of their motorcycle.

Just turning corners on a coastline road early in the morning on my way to work I've fish-tailed crossing the painted lines (because of moisture on the road). I personally feel that my experience on dirt bikes and mountain bikes has helped me to be aware of my motorcycle.

And If you think for a minute that I enjoy any loss-of-traction experiences on my GSX-R600......

...... YOU'VE COMPLETELY LOST YOUR MIND!!!!

I sometimes feel the rear wheel shift when I slowly cross the painted lines on the freeway. Now I move across 'em quickly . And yes, I had a terrible experience in a curve early one morning w/the moisture when I really found out how life-saving it is to enter a curve slowly so that you don't go outside the lines when you go farther into the curve. Man, was it an eye-opener  .
