I have a hayabusa 04 model. I put 2 slip-on scorpions on an the bike won't
idle properly it speeds up and down. It also pops back in the air box. What can I do to fix this problem?

exhaust

Hate to say it, but your first problem is the Scorpion Exhaust on the Busa. You will probably need to pick up a power commander and remap for the dual Scorps. I've discovered that Scorpion is by far one of the worst performing exhaust cans for any Suzuki Sport or Sport Tour bike. By far, two of the better that shouldn't need a power commander are M4 and Yoshi. Two Brothers claims you won't need one for theirs, but I don't see how with dual exhaust that you wouldn't need a commander with theirs.
Trust your instincts here, if you pick up the power commander, you will definately get the Scorps to perform like they should. They just need that little kick that a remap will give them. You should gain about 5-8hp from the dual scorps and a remap.

If all you have is slip-ons then you shouldn't need a power-commander but you might. Also, the backfiring that your getting is more than likely coming from your pair valve. You need to remove that thing quick! www.fastsjonny.tk/ has some great instructions on a lot of the different mods for the busa.

Lose the scorpions, don't know anybody with them that is happy with them for a busa.

the lopey idle is normal on f.i. bikes after installing a slip-on. raise your idle to about 1300 and you should be okay.

I have the same problem on my 04 GSX-R600. I bolted on a D&D and immediately noticed the lopey idle. I figured it was a combo of less back pressure (you can see right through that thing, just like the old cherry-bomb mufflers!) and needing to be remapped. I have a power commander on the way.
