I'm looking for the proper way to set the vacuum adjustment on a Kuryakyn hypercharger. Currently, the butterflies flutter at idle, but when I crack the throttle, they open slightly and close again. Will the wind force hold them open while traveling, or is an adjustment needed? Unfortunatley, no instructions came with the unit.
Thanks,
Chris

Not sure of an adjustment-might be the screw on the side, but the vacuum of the engine sucks the butterflies shut and the spring holds it open, so when cruising the butterflies are about 3/4 the way shut

Anybody correct me if Im wrong
------------This is why mine are not hooked up-dont have to worry about it

Well, apparantly the screw on the back of the hypercharger does not adjust vacuum pressure as I had thought, rather it sets the minimum position of the butterflies. After extensive searching online, it seems the easiest way to adjust the HC is to:
1- hold the butterflies closed
2- turn screw in until you feel it hit the rod
3- adjust so butterflies stand about 1/8 inch open

I tried it, and it seemed to help, so I wanted to pass it along in case someone else needed to know.
