I finally picked my bike up yesterday and I am working out some small things.

The gas tank needs to be cleaned out....does anybody have any recommendations on any solvents or anything I could use or can I just simply take it off and clean it out?

Sorry if its a stupid question...im just not sure.

I heard that if you want to get the last of the gas out after you drain it, to hook up a hose from an exhaust from a car and use the fumes to dry it out. As far as cleaning it out, I have no idea. I did that to my tank, and it helped dry it out immensly. I do have one recommendation though...label your fuel lines so you know where to put them back . I didnt...and I fear that when the time comes I am going to have many problems.

You can just take it off and let it dry a bit, then use parts cleaner. Lastly, scrub the inside with fuel injector cleaner and let dry. Put back on and fill 'er up!
