Hello folks,

I am planning to get a M50. One of the deals I am seeing is a 2009 M50 with around 12000 on it (GREAT!). Listed for $1650 because the fuel tank has a dent (pretty bad dent). I am a new rider, so I am looking for something not very expensive at the same time I want something great to look at and drive. I like M50 mainly because of their look, shaft drive and fuel injection.

Are tanks repairable? I know it lost its value, but I meant just to make it look good. I am planning to keep this bike with me for a long time.

Not really.
Best to get a new one.....or a good used one.
OR.....just leave it alone and put a big decal over it.

Actually "just leave it alone" isn't a good idea either, long term, because the coating inside the tank likely is damaged and the creases will rust.

Then...........are you a brand new rider ??
If so, an M50 might be a bit much unless maybe you are a fairly large person.

Get a good used one. Several years are compatible. The cost is still a good deal, if the rest of the bike is decent.
