More chest thumping BS. Learn how to ride the bike as-is. Don't worry about pipe, power commander etc. Who cares if it is ALLEGEDLY slower? Slower compared to what? The pipe you have on there now should be fine.
You need to realize that those kind of statements don't wash with me. They shouldn't with you either. Your bike is plenty fast enough. Faster than you or I have the skills to fully use, I can guarantee you that. It is an awesome machine, be it a 600, 750 or 1000. First, get yourself to an MSF course, if you have not done so. Then you need to get yourself to a track school, once your basic proficiencies are met and you are comfortable on the bike.
I hate hearing those statements, because they are made by squids with no clue.
Put money into good riding gear, riding schools and good tires. Worry about mods later, once you really know how to get the most out of the machine.
