Hello. I have never had a chance to ride a sport bike nor ever been able to afford one, but i have always been a fan of them. And as much as a newbie guestion this is, i was just wondering if these croth rocket bikes are 2 or 4 stoke. Do you have to use a clutch then shift, or just shift without using the clutch. Thanks.

I would advise you to first do some research bro, go to any website, www.suzuki.com and see for yourself. If you click on a bike it has specs which list engine size among other things. Yes a motorcycle does operate with the assistance of a clutch but i have something better for yah if you plain on getting a motorcycle of any kind save yourself the drama and take a MSF course it just may save your life. :scooter:

There are 2- and 4-stroke, and 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 cylinder engines, depending upon what make and model you are looking at. Most sportbikes are around 600 to 1000 cubic centimeters, usually 4-stroke 2 or 4 cylinder engines.

Most all have a manual gearbox, meaning you should use the clutch to shift gears. I haven't heard of any automatic gearboxes on bikes until now, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time...
