On Saturday we lost another to lack of attention.

Steven Grace Jr., his dad, and another friend (Luke, A NESBA member and avid track rider) were riding on Hwy 231 on a leisurely Saturday ride. All three riders were experienced and wearing appropriate gear. As the three followed another car around a turn, a car from the oncoming lane crossed the line and took Stevie's life. Stevie's body was torn in half and his motorcycled was balled up like tin-foil. The driver of the car and his daughter were killed. The wife of the man in the automobile is in critical condition and not expected to make it out of the crash alive. Please pray for this woman and that Stevie's father, family and friends will somehow be able to cope with this tragedy.

I'll post anymore as I find out.

Should I know who Steven Grace Jr. is? A bad deal, anyway.

dang - thought I replied to this but don't see it... ditto Soldier... I haven't seen anything about that on WSFA, WAKA or in the Advertiser. Was this on the Wetumpka Rd. 231 or the Troy Highway 231?

Thoughts and prayers definitely with both of these families.

I'm so sorry! Any news on speed? What happened with the car that both of those passengers died as well?

That is probably my biggest fear, is coming around a curve, you're well within your own lane, but some idiot who "floats" all over the place comes around and takes you out! :(

Sorry to hear about this!

They were traveling at 45-50 mph. The three riders were about 2 car lengths behind the car in front of them.

The other car was totalled. Luke said the hood came off and went sliding down the road towards him.
