Well, I was riding my Suzuki Across on the sidewalk. Then I had to jump off to the main road over the border stone. OK, that was stupid. I knew GSX250F is not an enduro, but didn't think about it.

Few minutes later I tried to brake using rear brake pedal, but there were no effect at all! Thanks to the front brake, I was able to finish the ride normally, but further riding without rear brakes is not a good idea...

Later I examined my bike's rear brake. Brake disc was wetted with some liquid, I guess it was leaked brake liquid. Also, there were two rubber hoses leading to nowhere. However, when I press brake pedal, these hoses don't move, so it seems they are not being used by the brake system. Reading workshop manual on GSX250F did not help.

My question is how to fix rear brake? Where should I fill up the brake liquid? I cannot find the brake liquid container and the way to open it.

If there was liquid, most probably, you broke something or something came loose. Check again, your manual should tell you where the rear master cylinder is.

The two hoses going nowhere are coming from the carbs? If so, then it's ok as that's where they should go.

Sure, I know I've broken the brake line. I've read GSX250F workshop manual, it didn't help. For example, it does not say how to fill brake fluid resioviour...

Don't know...

The two hoses going nowhere, do they look like they are comin g from somewhere below the seat? If so they are probably the carb breather or tank breather hoses.
The reservoir should be located behind the bit of plastic just above the rear brake pedal, topping it up is easy just take the lid off it and pour more brake fluid into the reservoir. Then try and see where it is leaking from and then get back to us about the leak.

Hi, all.

I worked on rear brake this weekend. Started with removing rear right-side fairing. It was easy! Removed brake fluid reservoir cover. Actially, it was not empty! It had few brake fluid inside. It turns out that "LOWER" mark does not indicate the bottom of the reservoir. I filled the reservoir to the maximum with water and began pressing the brake pedal.

It looked in all my eyes, but could not find a place of the leakage. In other words, rear brake tract IS NOT BROKEN. So, hoses are OK, still bake pedal does not work...

Few minutes later, I've seen water/brake fluid mix dripping from brake machine! Actually, I don't know the correct name of the device. I mean the device on the rear wheel that holds the brake disk. What does this mean? And what should I do now?

I found a torn piece of black kapron cloth between the brake disk and brake machine clip. What is this cloth?
