Hi,

Issues arising after a re-ring, engine starts fine, warms up and then will not rev above 7k, dies and on the road is almost unrideable, Also throttle appears to be sticking as revs take some time to come down, have also checked cables and slides - AOK. I have also just installed boyesen reeds, cleaned carbs and renewed all fuel lines and filters. Any ideas as before re-build ran ok but was dying on one cylinder, solved with new plugs. Could this be an air leak.

Sounds like air leaks to me but keep in mind that installing boyesen reeds requires that you jet down one size from the stock 280/270 jet to 260/260
as you are most likely running to rich. Most important go to the RGV site www.rgv250.co.uk and become a member.
