Saddlebag question

Hi everyone. I saw a 03 'Busa with "Hardshell" saddlebags. They appeared to have enough leg clearance for the passenger. Do such things effect the riding dynamics much? Anyone know where I get get more info or if they're made for the Gixxer?
Thanks

I haven't seen hard luggage for a Gixxer. I have Nelson Rigg Shere saddle bags for mine. Easy to take on and off, plus tons of room and expandable. They do make access to the rear pegs difficult, so long 2up trips would be a problem. But they are good working bags that when not needed go back on the shelf. I tour on my bike and for weekends, travel light with a tankbag and small backpack. I like keeping the bike light the rest of the time so it's still got the same fast handling in the twisties.

Hard bags will make splitting traffic much more difficult. Depending how you ride and the bags themselves, you may end up dragging them on the asphalt in the twisties. Did you want hard bags for daily use or touring?
