just out of curiousity, what is a frame slider. It seems to be self explanitory, but just wondering if anyone has a pic with them. i'm having a hard time picturing it
Frame sliders often mount directly to the frame in the general vicinity of the engine. They are made of metal, nylon, or other composites and look like mushrooms or studs.
Take a look at the picture and you'll see frame sliders as well as swingarm spools/sliders. these were from Lockhart/Phillips. Carbon fiber exterior with billet ends that can be replaced.
They just clear the fairing so that the fairings don't get scratched if it tips over. If it goes down while at speed there is no way to tell if they will protect anything or not depending on the angle of impact.
