I've got a 2000 US spec Hayabusa and it really doesn't seem to do what it's supposed to.

I can't get it over 170 mph (272kph), it just suddenly runs out of steam.

Can anyone out there tell me what the US did at it to slow it down?

I've heard tell about ignition timing retardation, but I thought that was supposed to be '01 onwards. I even tried a black box that's supposed to fix that but it just screwed it up totally.

How far above the sea level were you making the run ?

What size sprockets you got on there? Should be 17/40. Your bike does not have the ignition retardation and the black box is BAD, lose it
