stick with the reccomended plug. a br8 is hotter than your br9 and could seize the bike. if you get a plug that has a resistor (R), the correct leanth (B), the correct heat range (9), and 14mm threads (e), you will be fine. br9es should work. someone correct me if im wrong about which letter ches to what thing. it doesnt really matter here though, as long as it has a BR9E in it, its fine. BTW, anyone know what the "S" means in br9es

Your breakdown of the plug was correct along with the advice to keep the reccomended BR9EV plug. Changing plugs without a good knowledge is a recipe for disater especially with a 2 stroke. You could melt a hole in the top of the piston in less than a minute.
