I will probably never own a cruiser or a standard, and I promise you that I will never own a touring bike (a rolling sofa decked out with Christmas tree lights).

HAHAHAHA that had to be the funniest thing i ever heard

Some custom cruisers are very nice to look at but so is the Lexus SUV. I just cant picture myself in/on either. If it doesn't GO just say NO

This guy seems very worried about what other people think of him. His rambling pile of crap says that people shouldn't judge his choice of motorcycle, because it is what works for him - then he goes on to criticize anybody who rides a non-sportbike. He could have just shortened his diatribe to "me like zoom" and I would have though more of him.

Ride what you like and enjoy it!

"When it comes to motorcycle riding, I want the lightest, fastest, quickest, best handling motorcycle that honest hard earned money can buy, average money, from someone who works hard for their money. Harley riders, on the other hand, appear to want the heaviest, slowest, worst handling piece of crap motorcycle that all of their money can buy."

Oh boy... He can see the trees but where is the forest.

Motorcycle riding isn't about having the fastest, quickest, and the best handling bike (unless your name is Valentino Rossi), it is a form of art where the rider and the bike melds together, weather you ride a Harley or a pure sport. Every twist of the wrist is a stoke of paint brush.

Besides, if you actually listened what hillybilly ******** on Harley's had to say about anything, well your just that, "Dumberer" like the movie. And if he wanted the fastest, quickest, and the best handling bike, why didn't he get the Gixxer. Sorry couldn't resist, I had to put that 2 penny there. The big picture here is the love for the ride. Sportbikes are cool, but how far can you go?

I agree with many of the reasons listed, but totally disagree with the guy's snobbish and arrogant attitude  (he sounds like a drunken, overconfident teenager! Yeah that's a wisdom pot!) He basically talks down on everybody else just because they have a different world view, a different taste or style....crappy type of person :( ....people should be more humble and more respectful of others. If nobody is getting in your face for your style and taste, then you should just mind your own business. 8)

well, I don't want to stick my head into the fire here, but I do agree with this guy. With the skill, the power, the fighter pilot.
I do like cruizers thought. I was going to get a softail before I got my zuk. I always wanted both (zuk and softail) since as a long as I can remember. Everytime I get on a softail (with straight pipes), sit real low, and fire it up, it barks at me in a reckloose cadence that sounds like a misbehaving step child. Not to mention what happens when I twist the throttle. You can throw your legs out wide stretch your arms out and feel like a bad mutha fuggah.

Fortunally, I thank god that I have my crotchrocket to drive everyday, pure excitement, control, and speed. I wouldn't suggest splitting lanes at 85 on a softail.

: )
