Ok, this may be nothing at all but figured I'd get the opinions of the experts here. I have an '04 600 with about 800 miles on it (so fairly new). As of recently... actually since I've had my 600 mile service, I noticed that sometimes when I'm driving slow (without applying any brake), my front tire (area/axle) makes a squeeking sound almost like a bearing in an automobile. Now, is this a bad bearing I need to have looked at, or do I need to just grease something?

I started getting the same sound about 1k miles ago (at about 8k total now). I'm wondering too

Your brake rotor isn't perfectly flat, and it's making contact with the pads. It's common. Don't worry about it.

You forgot to include another detail about the squeak. Is it a constant on with no breaks in it? Or is it like "squeak-squeak" and go quicker the faster you ride?

So can bike rotors be turned true or not??? And how long should front and rear brake pads last in terms of miles??

After checking the brakes, check this, if that is not it..

here goes a LONG shot...

Check the speedometer pickup on the Counter shaft sprocket, I am guessing that your bike has the same style pickup as my busa.

Over tightened, it SQUEEKS like it is sqeeking from the front wheel.. seriously.

It happens more then people think.

Worth a check see.

It is not constant (a squeak squeak sound) but not on acceleration (or at least you can't hear it)... I only hear it sometimes as the bike is slowing from maybe 15mph to a stop (coasting I should say since I am not applying brakes). Also, sometime when I'm pulling into a parking lot, and driving under 10mph, I can hear the squeak-squeak-squeak.
