anybody have any suggestions on a good bike for a semi-noob?(i use to have 2 dirt bikes so i have some sort of experience on a bike) im only 5'2 and female.
i used to drive a honda XR80F,which if I remember correctly weighed about 150-160 lbs. and the other i had was a 150 so that was probably over 200lbs.
So for my first bike I def dont need or want something 600lbs+ and super fast seeing as how im only 5'2. any suggestions?

thanks! im gonna look into one of those and the kawasaki 250r.
i got on a honda cbr f4i today that was already dropped 3 inches and it was still too tall :lol: ...unless that man was fuckin with me.

Ninja 250s are great. I race one on occasion. About the F4 being dropped three inches, umm, that sounds like a LOT to me. Try the Kawi, you can't go wrong. We have several FAST females in the AFM. Some are about your height, and race the 250s.

If you want to get a smaller, somewhat light bike, you might want to consider the Kawasaki Ninja 500 or the Suzuki GS500. My first bike was a Ninja 500 and it was a good bike and helped me to build my confidence at riding. I can't say much about the Suzuki 500 because I haven driven one.

First, take the MSF course. Then start out on an older Honda CM250, Suzuki GN250, or possibly the best learner bike is the Kawasaki KL250 Super Sherpa. Dual sport that is low, has enough power to ride the freeway, won't wheelie you off the back unless you really try, and you can take it into the dirt to practice your skills without having to deal with traffic and asphalt. However, as short as you are, you may want to try a Honda Rebel or 250 Nighthawk if you are wanting a new bike and have disposable income. If you buy a small used UJM, you can ride it for 6 months to a year and then sell it for what you paid for it. these bikes are always in demand just because of folks like you. When you outgrow it, another short person wanting to learn will be there to buy it.

How about a Busa. I heard from my local riding group that they have a girl that rides with them that is about 5'2" and rides a busa. They met her on a street, and she speed up to them doing almost a 12 o clock and then dropped the front end and jumped off and started to slide on her feet next to the bike. and now she rides with them.

Go wit a busa, that would be hot and I would want u to be mine.. :lol:

Of course, anything is heavy compared to a Gixxer! 8)

My idea of a heavy bike is an 800 pound (dry) GoldWing...

My Mom has a Ninja 250 and loves it.........she is small so it fits her well.
