I have lost compression on this Intruder on both cylenders. The bike rode pretty well the day before, but it did buck a few times on acceleration. Looked at the camshaft and they are rotating.
Has the chain slipped?
Wouldn't think both head gaskets would fail at the same time so it narrows down the possibilities...however that is probably where the good news ends. It may have slipped a tooth on the cam but it would need a few teeth to drop the compression a lot....what are the figures? and what mileage does the bike have
The valves may have been set too tight but would need to be fairly tight to reduce the compression by any amount they may have burnt the seats if this is the case. More info on the compression figures is needed and if you add oil does it rise.....also you did crank the engine with the throttle open....yeah?
