Did a motorbike tour of Vietnam in December, bought an old "Honda" Win, which was a vietnamese copy, 110cc. Was a great little bike, similar design to the A100 but four stroke engine.

Absolutely amazing experience, highlight was definitely the Hai Van Pass

Took the bike out for a spin yesterday, down to the beach

Then today put the new front tire on it, same as the rear 3.00x18 Duro. Fits perfectly, had to move the mudguard up to the bottom set of holes. Bought a new pair of shocks in Vietnam too, from a Yamaha but they fit perfectly, they're maybe 15mm shorter but stiffer so should work well, the old ones were squeeking badly.

I have a 1980 A100 that is hard to start as it floods every day, I turn the fuel tap off every night but when I go to start the next day, the engine is flooded and the spark plug is full of fuel, I have cleaned the carb out, but it still floods, any ideas?

It probably would be better if this question was posted in a NEW thread.

My only thought is that the fuel tap is not working.......OR that you actually are turning it to reserve instead. And along with that, the float needle valve in the carb isn't closing completely. BOTH things must fail for fuel to leak into the engine like that.

Tried again tonight, wouldn't start so I tried putting some fuel in the cylinder and it would start and then stop. So checked the fuel line and there was a kink in the line just before the carb, sorted that and it started first time!
Took it out just down the road and some off roading, ran really well! I don't think the oil pump is working, the level is the same so I'll run premix fuel for now. It's incredibly slow but incredibly cool 8o)
I was driving it without the cover over the carb, which I've now put on. I noticed it has a rubber gasket around it, so I'm assuming air isn't meant to get in there, so maybe it was running far too lean. I tried starting it again with the cover on and it seemed to idle better, will hopefully try it again tomorrow. Heading down to Glasgow on thursday so won't be working on it until I'm home at Christmas.
Be careful using premixed petrol/oil as the oil pump supplies the big end and premix wont supply the bigend.
