At the end of last season I parked my C90 in the driveway, left it running, and went back inside. I came out a few minutes later just as it rolled off the kickstand and onto it's side. I picked the bike up right away and inspected it for damage. A few minor scrapes and a broken turn signal. The problem is now that the handlebar rattles, not shakes, but rattles. Clearly whatever is inside the handlebars has been knocked loose and makes noise. I would like to understand what it is inside I screwed up and how to fix it.

Does either end of the bars look different now ??
Many bikes have a lead vibration damper on the ends of the bars.
The side of the bike that hit the ground may have broken that weight off......leaving the mounting hardware rattling around inside.

Anyway, if you take those weights off.......by loosening just a little bit and then pulling and wiggling until they come out......you should be able to manipulate whatever is loose inside there.

OR....see a shop. They might clue you in for free.

P.S.
1) Never park your bike "nose down".
2) Never walk away from it while it is still running.

One other thing....check the stop on the side stand....some manufacturers dont make the stand fold far enough forward....thus locking it into position. Many simply take a grinder to the stop and grind a bit off. Suzuki were known for this on some of the Hayabusa's
