Metalic sound?

 Check your valve clearance first. If the sound is very loud metalic it's also possible that either your small- or bigend bearings are f...d.

If I am not mistaken that is a single cylinder. If it has the factory exhaust on it you can probably hear just about everything inside the engine. Probably a good call to check the valves. Check with a manual for the proper valve clearances and follow the proper procedure for checking/ adjusting them. If they are ok keep an ear on it and make sure the oil is good and at the right level. Don't run the hell out of it either. If it gets worse rather quickly there is probably some damage and the sooner you fix it the better.
