WHOA 40:1 Ratio?!?! seems a bit high if you ask me.....try leaning out the oil a bit and see what happens, i run 32:1 with 93 octane....u might also want to get a compression check done to see if your top end is all in good shape

It checks to make sure that your motor is at the proper compression rate. If the compression inside the motor is down, your going to lose all of your power, which is whats happening in your case......does the bike turn over real easy or does it take a few kicks to get it going?

ahh ok well if you have the stock jets than that isnt the problem....yeah if fmf says thats the way it should be set up then by all means set it up like that (they def know ALOT more than i do) and if that doesnt solve your power loss problem id look into getting a compression test on the bike

Try rebuilding the carburetor. Check for air leaks around the carburetor, exhaust, and intake. When you state the bike is performing poorly, under what conditions are you referring to? Is it top end, low end, all around? At idle? Your bike has a power valve, so a good synthetic oil at 32:1 is recommended. Good Luck.

top end /low end and all around at idle ? you lost me on that one i use 40/1 ratio and good synthetic oil all i can tell is its kicks over fine when i do the throttle it dont seem to go in powerband at high rev ... just askin cos my m8 cr is a rocket and mine bike is slow

Just replaced the rings on my 04rm250 and cleaned out the power valve. Runs alot better now. I changed synthetic oil brands to one that allows me to run 65:1 mixture. Id say check your rings, replace your jets to new ones (they may be glassed)and rejet to what FMF recommends, and thoroughly clean your carb. Also, check your reeds for wear. Sounds to me that bike needs some good ol maintenance.

I may be shooting in the dark here. But when you say 'NO POWER'.. does it rev a lot and gets nowhere ? Possibly worn out clutch plates. also, not sure about the year... but if it has power/exhaust valves then might be worth removing and cleaning then and make sure they are well oiled.
