So I got my first bike, a 2013 Suzuki S40, a couple months ago and was wondering how to adjust the rear shocks. Should I adjust them or get them replaced? Some articles I've read say the stock shocks are pretty crappy, and if so what's a good choice and size? I keep bottoming out when I leave/enter my driveway (which is a steep incline here in Vegas). Any pictures would be appreciated. Thank you!

How big a person are you ?
And which notch is the rear spring pre-load set on ?
Given your problem, it should be on the stiffest position probably.

What part actually scrapes ?
Does it still bottom out with you OFF of the bike and pushing it ??

Changing the shocks is not the solution to a ride height problem.
It is possible that you have a riding technique problem.
